Motorsport has always been in the veins of the MPM’s founder Brian and the Wilson family; and 2022 has brought an opportunity for the company to be able to become involved in the pinnacle of British Motorsport – the BTCC, by sponsoring Árón Taylor-Smith for this current season.
A key part of the 2022 MPM BTCC program will be the opportunity for staff and clients to experience what the BTCC is all about, while utilising the VIP hospitality on race days. Guests will be granted unrivalled access to the BTCC courtesy of Taylor-Smith and will have the opportunity to attend races throughout the season.
MPM’s branding will be prominently displayed on Taylor-Smith’s car throughout the season as he races in the UK’s most widely followed motorsport championship. The BTCC will once again be covered on free live to air TV with ITV4 throughout the 2022 season. The viewership of the series was in excess of 20 million last season and the series expects similar numbers once again this coming season meaning that MPM will receive unrivalled exposure as part of the program.
Taylor-Smith, who is a multiple race winner in the BTCC, drives the all-new Cupra which was designed and built by Kent-based team, Team HARD Racing. The Irishman has accumulated nearly twenty podiums during his illustrious career in the BTCC and to this day remains the only Irishman to win a race in the championship in over thirty years.
New for the 2022 season will be the introduction of the Hybrid regulations, which has seen all cars undergo a transformation as the series steps towards a more sustainable future.
