ISO 9001 Achieved 8th Year in a Row

Accreditation to the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System (QMS) was initially awarded to MPM in 2013.  Since then we have been audited successfully every year – with no recorded nonconformances.

The ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) is internationally recognised as the world’s leading quality management standard, and has been implemented by over one million organisations in over 170 countries globally.  The Standard – implemented to its full potential, as we do – has become an invaluable asset to our Company.

Eight Key Principles of Quality Management

The Standard contains eight key principles of quality management.  These enable MPM to operate effective processes – controlled by well trained and effective people; processes that deliver quality  products and services time after time; bringing many benefits to our customers, suppliers and team members.

The eight key principles are:

  • Customer focus and customer satisfaction
  • Leadership
  • Involvement of people
  • Process approach
  • A systematic approach to management
  • Continual improvement
  • Factual approach to decision making
  • Mutually beneficial supplier relationship

Enhanced Customer Satisfaction

The Standard has enabled MPM to become more cost-efficient, to increase its credibility and competitiveness, to lower costs and to shorten cycle times through effective use of resources.  The end result is enhanced customer satisfaction and improved customer loyalty leading to repeat business.

MPM’s expert consultant, Paul Williams, has been working on the ISO for us for over 7 years. He said
“ISO 9001:2015 QMS is a vital tool throughout the business from office to shop floor and beyond.”

“From an order book and growth perspective, we are currently in a great position since gaining the accreditation. It has given us a fantastic foundation to work from and enforced our continuous improvement culture at MPM.” – Ben Wilson, Business Leader at MPM
